Albion is delighted to finally receive the Pollution Prevention and Control permit for Billy Bowie Special Projects in vessel composting system. The installation will compost Catering waste and green wastes. These types of waste were prevented from going to landfill in 2006. The aim of the installation is to provide a route for treatment of ABP and catering waste, which complies with the requirements in an installation that is close to the point of production.
The site is located at Moorfield in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire
The main benefits of the project are listed below:
· The installation will provide a stable disposal route for waste material from the food industry and catering waste;
· Facility is close to the waste arising and transport of material is significantly reduced.
· The installation will produce a product which will provide benefit to the local farming community;
· The installation will comply with all environmental legislation;
