Preparing for Digital Waste Tracking

Background

As part of Phase 1 of the Digital Waste Tracking (DWT) Service, permitted and licensed waste receiving sites in England and Wales must report waste receipts to the DWT Service from 1 October 2026, with Scotland and Northern Ireland following from 1 January 2027.

This 3-hour course explains what the legislation requires and provides you with the practical knowledge to ensure your site is compliant.

  • Describe your legal responsibilities under Duty of Care
  • Identify the information that must be recorded and reported for each waste receipt
  • Avoid common reporting errors, and how to correct them when they occur

It is also for those at waste receiving sites who handle weighbridge or site administration tasks, including Duty of Care paperwork, and supervisors or managers who have responsibility for site compliance.
