Are you a driver within the Waste Management sector?
Drivers who work within the Waste Management sector should be aware of the requirements they must meet to ensure they are compliant with current waste legislation.
All drivers within the Waste Management sector are required to complete a compulsory 35-hours of training over a 5-year period to renew their Driver CPC.
Whilst you can undertake a wide range of courses to contribute to the compulsory 35-hours, we would recommend that you undertake a course relevant to your sector, so in addition to helping with your CPC training requirement it will also provide you with a valuable update on your knowledge of waste legislation.
Albion Environmental deliver a 7hr JAUPT approved Driver CPC course in Waste Management Legislation, which provides essential knowledge for all drivers involved with waste.
Our course has been structured to cover the following subjects:
- The use of the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) AND Lists of Wastes (LoW)
- Completing a Non-Hazardous Waste Transfer Note
- Duty of care requirement with storage, transfer and disposal of waste materials.
Each subject area is covered specifically to your role as a driver within the waste management sector. Understanding of each subject area is confirmed using verbal questioning at the end of each stage. Additionally, a few exercises are conducted throughout the training on each of the subject areas. At the end of each course the delegates are asked to complete a feedback form which is used to identify improvements and gauge the delegates view on the validity and effectiveness of the training received.
