ZWS wished to appoint a number of consultants to provide “Advice to Scottish Construction SMEs”. This will require a high degree of expertise and ability to provide independent advice and support in one or more of the topics in the following non-exclusive list:
- Identification and building a database of Scottish construction sector SMEs (including designers, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers) and their trade and professional associations.
- Promoting and developing (or adapting) materials and toolkits for Scottish construction SMEs and designers/specifiers to promote zero waste and resource management to construction sector SMEs.
- Supporting construction SMEs in Scotland to implement Site Waste Management Plans and to minimise resource use and waste arising in construction, demolition and excavation.
- Supporting Scottish local authorities and private sector waste management companies to introduce or enhance resource collection and recycling services for smaller construction sites.
Albion Environmental Ltd has built up considerable experience in advising SMEs, we also have a number of practical examples which reflect our expertise in this area.
