Do you manage a Material Recycling Facility (MRF) or Waste Transfer Station?
Do you need to confirm and reinforce new rules and regulations put in place due to COVID-19?
Do you want to refresh staff knowledge on Health and Safety and good operational practice?
Albion Environmental Ltd has developed a Waste Facility Awareness Course to update staff on operational issues and to incorporate changes due to COVID-19.
Through our existing contract with Zero Waste Scotland (ZWS), course costs are fully covered by ZWS, so we can deliver these courses for you for free.
This course is aimed at your existing staff and will be adapted to incorporate your updated procedures and safety systems. This is an ideal opportunity to reinforce your teams’ approach to health and safety and operational practice. The course is divided into classroom-based training as well as practical training and will cover the following areas:
Classroom Based Learning
- Introduction to MRF’s & Waste Transfer Stations
- Operational Activities
- COVID-19 Update
Practical Learning – Based on Site
- Traffic Management & Machinery Operations
- Waste Loading, Storage & Segregation
- Manual Handling and Slips, Trips & Falls
- Any Other H&S Controls & Procedures
- Assessment
For an informal discussion regarding this course please contact Alasdair Meldrum, Director.
The approval process is straightforward, once we know the nature of your enquiry for example type of facility, number of candidates etc we then seek approval from ZWS.
Once approved we would be in contact to:
- Get additional site-specific information to make the course bespoke to your site and procedures
- Arrange training days
- Deliver training courses and issue certificates
