SQA conducted a successful EV visit on Albion centre relating to the Waste Management Qualifications we deliver. Outcome of visit was very successful with EV commenting under Good practice section –
• Portfolios were logically laid out, user friendly and it was a simple matter to locate particular pieces of candidate evidence
• Candidates were given excellent advice as to how portfolios should be laid out
• Excellent evidence of robust Internal Verification systems
• Good use was made of photographic evidence in candidate portfolios
• Assessors and verifiers maintained comprehensive records of CPD undertaken
• A COTC Assessor Folder has been developed and an Assessor / Verifier standardisation exercise is planned (Jan 2009)
• There was good evidence of QA meetings between the course delivery team
