Recycle Week 12- 18 September 2016

Recycle Week (12- 18 September 2016) is the UK’s annual recycling week, aiming to get everyone recycling more by raising awareness of the benefits and promoting easy ways to do more.

It’s a week for everyone and we’d love you to get involved – from local authorities, to businesses, to community groups, schools or even individuals, however much time or resource you have to give, it all makes a difference.

Our main theme this year is food waste recycling, but any recycling related activities are welcome.  From hosting events, to introducing new recycling services, or even just sharing our messages on social media, there are lots of ways to get involved depending on how much time and resource you have to give.

We’ll also be busting some commonly held myths about recycling in the run up to and through the week, so keep an eye out for our messages and please do share.

Download our partners guide for great ideas on how to take part in the week.  Inside, you’ll find some handy digital and print resources to download, and ‘how to’ PR and social media guides to help promote your activities.

Remember to register your activities here  – Use the registration page to let us know about all your activities or contact evonne.cannan@zerowastescotland.org.uk and we can do it for you!

It could be as simple as supporting the campaign on social media or using our recycling email signature that week, to running a larger community awareness event or a recycling and litter pick – either way we want to know, so we can count it as an official action for the week.
