Health and Safety Consultancy

We have recently appointed Billy Anderson as our QUENSH (Quality, environmental, safety and health) Manager. Billy has a wealth of experience from providing Health and Safety consultancy services to the construction industry. We are now using that experience to provide Health and safety services to our waste management and construction clients.

QUENSH (Quality, environmental, safety and health) Management Systems

Billy also has a NVQ level 5 in Quality and Environmental Management and will be developing QUENSH systems for our existing and new clients.

We will use Billy’s expertise to prepare management systems for external audit to –
• Quality Management systems to ISO 9001
• Environmental Management Systems to ISO 14001
• Health and safety Management Systems to ISO 18001
Or alternatively Billy will come in to audit or improve existing systems.

North East England WAMITAB Approved Centre

In order to service our clients in the North of England we have established an office in the north east. We are now approved by WAMITAB to complete the full range of awards from this location. This compliments our existing service where we can provide WAMITAB qualifications in Scotland via Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
In addition all current Albion services can also be supplied from this office.

IOSH Approved Centre
We are now in the position to over both the
IOSH – Working Safely Course which is a one-day course for staff from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility. It provides grounding in the essentials of health and safety – everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ and this course offers exactly that. Working Safely introduces a completely new approach to health and safety training and offers all the basics in a high impact interactive package.
For delegates who attend the course and successfully complete the written and practical assessments, there is a choice of accreditation, either an IOSH Working safely certificate or an IOSH Passport Card.

IOSH – Managing Safely Course is a course for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. It’s designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams. The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues, and includes a session tackling the environment too. The course lasts for 24 hours in total. Managing Safely can be delivered over a full week or on single days or as an evening course and has eight modules:
• Introducing Managing Safely
• Assessing risks
• Controlling risks
• Understanding your responsibilities
• Identifying hazards
• Investigating accidents and incidents
• Measuring performance
• Protecting our environment
Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an IOSH certificate in Managing Safely.
