Asbestos Awareness Training Course

At Albion Environmental we like to make sure our clients and fellow workers in the industry are kept up to date with training and ensure regulations are always being adhered to. Therefore, we are excited to announce new dates for our Asbestos Awareness Training courses!

To make life as simple as possible, we have developed a short course to give workers whose role involves operating on contaminated land and/or waste management sites an introduction to the dangers of Asbestos.

Our course provides information in line with legal requirements set out in Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations (CAW) 2012, that requires all workers who may be exposed to Asbestos during their work (and those who supervise them) to receive suitable training.

Considering the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, we are offering this as a virtual course which will be conducted via Zoom.

The information delivered at the training will meet the recommendations set out on Section 235 of L143 the HSE’s Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) and Guidance for “Managing & Working with Asbestos”.

The training will consist of 2 half day sessions, with session 1 aimed at those operating on contaminated land sites, and session 2 aimed at those working with waste management. Participants can choose from either of the courses with the option to complete both.

Dates are as follows:

Session 1 – Friday 13th November 09.00 – 12.30 – Contaminated Land Sites

Session 2 – Friday 20th November 09.00 – 12.30 – Waste Management Sites

The cost is £55 per session, per person, with a combined cost of £110 for both sessions.

Upon completion of this course delegates can boast the following

  • Understanding of the dangers arising from exposure to Asbestos
  • Awareness of the 3 main types of Asbestos & the main diseases related to Asbestos exposure
  • Understanding of the general emergency procedures should Asbestos be discovered or disturbed
