We are only a few weeks into 2017 and Albion is delighted to be pushing ahead with a number of great projects:
Office Extension
The ground works and foundations for our office extension are well underway and progressing well. This work will enhance our existing offices by providing –
- A meeting room with capacity for up to 12 people including full interactive white board
- Additional office space for up to 7 staff providing much needed space for our ongoing expansion
- A dedicated break out space for informal meetings and catching up with other staff
On Line Resources
We have been working hard to develop a range of online tools to support the waste and resource sector. These tools will be available via a dedicated online portal accessed through our website and is expected to go live in February 2017. Tools include –
- Access to Learning Assistant the online system we now use for all vocational qualifications. For details please see https://www.albion-environmental.co.uk/albion-rolling-out-learning-assistant
- Since its inception, our Certificate of Technical Competence mock test has been downloaded over 2000 times and is still currently available on https://www.albion-environmental.co.uk/wamitab/continuing-competence-mock-test A new updated version is coming soon
- Soil Management Tool – designed for developers and groundwork contractors. Upload existing ground investigation information and development plans and our skilled and experienced staff will review in order to help you develop cost saving and sustainable soil management solutions.
- Waste classification Tool – Waste classification is a complex exercise, with numerous factors to consider and toxicological data that is constantly being updated. Albion can undertake a classification assessment using our expert knowledge and experience, to enable you to fulfil your legal duty in line with current guidance.
- Waste Reuse Network – Predominantly designed for the Construction & Demolition sector the tool will enable users to search for reuse opportunities for their waste materials (e.g. waste aggregate, soil etc.). Once potential matches have been identified the tool will also help clients identify their duty of care requirements in order to successfully complete the transfer. Where additional support is required, such as assisting with the production of waste management exemptions, reviewing suitability of material, soil contamination assessments etc. Albion will also be able to assist with these issues.
Investment in Training
We believe we have some of the most qualified and experienced staff in the sector however we are investing heavily in staff training throughout 2017. Qualifications range from Health and Safety training through to accounts and administration. Good luck to all the staff completing these qualifications.
