Trainer: Craig Chandler
6 Candidates: 3 x Prestwick Airport, 3 x Albion Environmental Ltd
Course aim was to train individuals in Basic Instructional Techniques so that they can plan, develop and deliver Basic Training in the workplace. The group of six on the day was made up from two different companies with six individuals working at different levels and disciplines. The trainer, Craig Chandler, successfully managed to integrate the group from the start achieving full co-operation and contribution from all assembled.
The venue was in itself a unique experience, being the Control Tower building at Prestwick Airport. It is not every day that you have a pause in proceedings as the class are momentarily distracted by military aircraft taking off past the window.
The course lasted for 4 days in total; this was broken up into 3 consecutive days training with the final day taken up with 30 minute presentations given by each member of the group. The quality of the presentations was very good with a mixed variety of subjects, ranging from basic accounting spreadsheets to Polish cooking!
Each candidate was given a thorough one to one debriefing by Craig on how they had performed in the two presentations given; these were very informative and constructive
The handouts and presentations for the 6 modules, which make up the course, were of a high quality and the professional manner in which they were delivered by the trainer made the whole event an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
