Albion Environmental will be running a half-day course (3 & 1/2 hours contact time) on Thursday 6th November 2025. The cost for this course is £180.00 inc VAT.
Albion’s Asbestos Awareness Course is aligned with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR2012) and is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and manage asbestos containing materials (ACM) in the workplace.
This training course enables individuals to understand the types of Asbestos and understand the likely uses and locations of Asbestos products. This will then allow them to avoid the risks from asbestos and have a clear emergency procedure if asbestos is discovered or disturbed.
The objectives for this course are:
- Understand the dangers arising from exposure to asbestos
- Name the three main types of asbestos
- List the main diseases caused by exposure to asbestos
- List some of the likely uses and locations for asbestos products in buildings
- Know how to avoid the risks from asbestos
- Understand the general emergency procedures should asbestos be discovered or disturbed
Through a mixture of lecturing and multi choice assessment our trainer will cover the following areas on the course:

- Health & Safety Legislation
- Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
- Uses of Asbestos
- PPE and RPE
- Avoiding risk
