Albion Environmental Ltd is delighted to announce that our trainers Sam Grant and Craig Chandler are now approved Energy and Utility Skills (EUSR) SHEA training providers. This new Passport scheme is a collaboration between Energy & Utility Skills and SWITCH (Scottish Waste Industry Competency Health and Safety Forum) to further support and promote health and safety in the resource management industry in Scotland.
The SWITCH Forum which includes Local Authorities (LA’s), public, private and third sector organisations launched SHEA Passport in July this year to encourage the resource management industry to take action to address the poor HSE statistics for the sector and enable a change of culture and mindset around H&S in the industry by embedding a standard level of H&S awareness which was consistent across the sector, and which empowered workers to recognise and take action against bad practices.
SHEA SWITCH aligns to the highly respected SWITCH Competency Framework. Those who successfully complete the programme are given an EUSR registration (valid for 3 years). The SWITCH endorsement of SHEA Waste will increase and strengthen awareness and adoption of the programme in the sector across Scotland.
