Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA)

What is DGSA? 

ADR specifies the responsibilities of a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser in Chapter 1.8.3 and the core responsibilities of a Safety Adviser are as follows:

  • Advising undertakings on the safe transport of dangerous goods by road.
  • Monitoring the undertakings compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
  • Preparing an annual report about the activities of the undertaking related to the transport of dangerous goods.
  • Investigating any accidents or infringements of regulations and preparing reports.
  • Monitoring the provision of training and advice to any staff involved in the transport of dangerous goods.

Our Approach

We have highly experienced, specialised and Certified DGSA’s, who we can utilise for this work and we are confident we can provide all the necessary support you require. This is normally achieved by placing our DGSA on a monthly retainer and also  undertaking an annual audit (schedule to be agreed following an inception meeting to discuss and confirm requirements) and preparing and annual report. Advice and accident investigation undertaken on an as / when required basis (at a set cost per day including travel and expenses).
