We can work with our clients to identify gaps and improve services on licensed facilities and develop management programmes tailored to the needs of the organization to ensure compliance with permits.

We provide trained and experienced staff capable of providing all types of environmental monitoring solutions.

Permit Review

Albion Environmental Ltd has always recommended to their clients that annual reviews are carried out on the site operations against the permit and management plans. We have been doing this for several years now, even prior to Regulators introducing their own reviews.

In House Audit

We carry out an in-house audit of the site operations, site monitoring and reporting against the PPC Permit and existing management plan and then draw up an improvement list to assist in bringing those parts of the operations, site monitoring and reporting into compliance with the existing permit and management plans.

Regulatory Body Audit

We either attend as the permit operator’s rep or accompany him/her during a Regulators audit. An important aspect of any audit is to make sure that the relevant information is readily available for inspection.

                        Prior to the audit

We would provide a list of material that should be made available for the Regulator to inspect during the audit and would also inspect that this material was available some days prior to the audit.

                        Post audit

If any issues are identified, we would first agree an improvement plan and timescale with the permit operator that aims to satisfy the findings of the Audit.

Site Permit Compliance Management

Our approach is to ensure environmental monitoring is completed in compliance with the PPC Permit (or Waste Management Licence) and is completed in a safe and sustainable manner.

The keys aspects and stages are as follows:

Staff Experience –experienced environmental monitoring professionals and most are also former landfill managers and hold valid WAMITAB certificates of technical competence.

Monitoring Plan – prior to completing any monitoring work we carry out a review of work to date and PPC or WML requirements for each individual site. From this review we will then develop a Monitoring Plan for the next year.

Laboratory analysis – an external laboratory shall be used for all analysis (with the exception of on-site measurements). We can supply samples to a Client preferred lab, or alternatively, aim to secure savings for by identifying more cost effective laboratories.

Data review and reporting –Data will be reviewed and reported to Clients, with any breach sampling arranged. Data will be submitted to the Regulator in compliance with permit conditions. We have considerable experience preparing annual monitoring reports and the preparation of SPRI/PI returns

WM3 COMPLIANCE

Waste Classification Assessments We can classify your waste in accordance with WM3 guidance. The classification will confirm whether your waste materials are non-hazardous or hazardous and aid waste producers to comply with their ‘duty of care’ requirements.
