Albion Environmental Ltd provides training and consultancy services to a range of clients across the UK. Due to a change in the company structure we have an immediate vacancy for an Environmental Site Technician to assist with environmental monitoring, site investigations and waste analysis for our clients based across the UK.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Completing environmental monitoring at a range of sites (landfill, composting facilities etc)
- Completing compositional waste analysis work
- Undertaking environmental walkovers and inspections
- Supervision of intrusive site investigation work for contaminated land assessments and soil management purposes
- Completion of paperwork, records and reports associated with above work
- Working closely with clients to prepare data and reporting findings to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and the Local Authority,
Candidate
This is a full-time role where we expect the candidate to be flexible and adapt to the workload. After the initial induction period we will expect the candidate to manage their own workload of routine and non routine work.
Site work is normally completed from Monday to Friday and may require the applicant to work away from home. A significant portion of the work will be outdoors and physical in nature. The ideal candidate will have a practical approach to field work and dealing with clients. A driving licence is also essential for this role.
An understanding of either the waste industry and/or contaminated land would be desirable.
