Industry News Update – WAMITAB is now integrated into CIWM

This week the merger of WAMITAB to CIWM completed, meaning CIWM is now the Awarding Organisation and End Point Assessment Organisation for qualifications and apprenticeships previously offered by WAMITAB.

Albion Environmental has been an experienced provider of WAMITAB qualifications for over 15 years, and we will continue to provide these awards under the CIWM Qualifications Centre Network.

Albion have a proven track record of delivering WAMITAB Awards to several local authorities and public and private sector organisations, many of whom have engaged with us further to develop and roll-out the delivery of their own in-house training for all levels of staff . We are passionate about maintaining a high standard of competence within the waste and resource management sector and are confident that the merger of WAMITAB to CIWM will deliver opportunities to continue improving the education curriculum and build a highly skilled workforce.

We are delighted to receive our new accreditation certificate from the new CIWM (WAMITAB) Qualifications Centre Network and look forward to supporting new candidates through their awards.

WAMITAB Feedback – March 2021

As a WAMITAB Approved Centre, we are asking any registered learners from the last 2 years, or assessors, to complete a short survey issued by WAMITAB, in regard to the brand’s integration with CIWM.

The survey is being hosted and run on WAMITAB’s behalf by an independent company, Ashridge Communications Ltd. It should take around 5 minutes to complete and will go live today, Wednesday 17 March and close on Friday 16 April.

Take part in the survey here:  https://www.warpsurveys.com/WAMITAB

Your responses will be reported anonymously unless you choose otherwise. At the end of the survey, you’ll be able to indicate whether you are happy for CIWM/WAMITAB to know your identity.

We would appreciate if you could take the time to complete the short survey to support the development of the new organisation and share your feedback.

If you’d like to find out more about the integration of the two organisations, you can do so here.

If you have any questions about the survey, you can contact WAMITAB directly via Katie Cockburn, Professional Services Director, WAMITAB – Katie.Cockburn@wamitab.org.uk or Gemma Smith, Head of Marketing and Communications, CIWM – Gemma.Smith@ciwm.co.uk
