The Brief
YS Reclamation Ltd operate a Plastic Recycling Facility based in England and appointed Albion to carry out a permit application on their behalf.
Consultancy Team Support
Albion’s support included:
- Site visit to assess site activities and management
- Checking site operations against BAT/ BREFs guidance
- Development of support documents such as Risk Assessment Procedure, Fire Prevention Plan, Site Management Plan, Accident & Emergency Plan, Monitoring procedure etc
- Liaison with the EA when required
- Assessing potential environmental impacts and suggesting mitigation measures for potential noise, vibration and dust emissions
- Recommendation on Management Procedures to prevent and reduce potential emissions
- Recommendation on proposed measures for monitoring emissions
- WAMITAB qualification (training by Albion’s qualified team)
- Submission of Change of Use Planning Application to the relevant planning authority
- Trade Discharge Consent application to the relevant water company
- Completion of the relevant PPC Permit application forms
- Coordination and review of surveys to be carried out on site
- Submission of application
- Schedule 5 support (after submission of application) – further technical information required by EA
Results
Since the Permit was granted, Albion continued supporting YSR with any queries related to its operations, as per Permit conditions.
Having visited the site and reviewed the main reports and plans of the site, the Consultancy team has developed a wide knowledge of the site operations and requirements.
As a result, Albion’s Consultancy team is able to continue to provide an efficient and cost effective support to YSR as and when required, in order to ensure that the site remains compliant with the conditions permitted for its site operations.
