COSSH awareness course
Aim:
To enable individuals from commerce & industry to understand the risks associated with substances hazardous to health found in the workplace.
Duration:
1/2 Day (approx 4 hrs)
Pre Requisites:
None
Objectives:
- Understand current legislation regarding COSHH
- Understand the risks associated with hazardous substances
- Understand how to read and apply information found on a label or Material Safety Data Sheet to determine the risks etc posed by a hazardous substance

- Relevant legislation
- Introduction to hazardous substances
- Identifying hazardous substances
- Assessing the risk (COSHH assessments)
