Recent on site analyses have included:

  • Falkirk Council
  • West Lothian Council
  • Manchester Airport
  • Rowan

These have included Household, Commercial, Schools, Offices, Industrial Estate and Civic Recycling Centre Sites wastes for analysis.

As part of our waste composition anlaysis we can include provision of raw data in excel format, comprehensive report on findings and PowerPoint presentation.

Environmental Monitoring

Albion Environmental Ltd are currently providing environmental monitoring services for our clients:

  • Shanks
  • WRG
  • Oran
  • GP Plantscape
  • Tarbolton Landfill
  • Straid Landfill

This involves weekly and monthly visits to their sites to monitor and sample gas, ground and surface waters, leachates and trade effluent discharges. Samples are taken on a regular basis and delivered to UKAS accredited laboratories. We then transfer the data from the in-situ testing and labs into bespoke spreadsheets and reports and provide the necessary reporting tools to SEPA to comply with all Waste Management Licence (WML) and PPC conditions.

If and when any trigger levels are breached we provide the repeat monitoring, sampling and reporting also required as part of the WML and PPC conditions.

As well as our on and off site monitoring services we also provide SPRI returns, annual monitoring reports and Waste Returns.

Planning Permission and Licence Application

Albion are currently submitting a Waste Management Licence (WML) application for a new waste transfer and recycling facility at Kirkbride, Cumbria. This is part of ongoing work for our client Longtown Skip Hire Ltd. We successfully applied for planning permission earlier this year for their proposed new facility. We are now submitting the WML application via the Environment Agency’s new on-line system.

Albion Environmental provided Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) cover for Longtown Skip Hire’s current waste transfer and recycling facility at Rockcliffe, Carlisle last year as no-one on site had the necessary qualifications. We provided weekly cover last summer whilst progressing the managing director and his manager through their Level 4 in Waste Management Operations: Managing Transfer Non-Hazardous Waste (4TSNH).
